(Yicai Global) March 20 -- China's mainland stock markets continued to rebound in the afternoon session with the major indexes closing near intra-day highs led by consumer and medical stocks.

The Shanghai Composite Index was up 1.61 percent at 2,745.62 at the close, while the Shenzhen  Component Index finished 1.3 percent stronger at 10,150.13. The ChiNext Price Index, which tracks growth enterprises listed in Shenzhen, gained 1.30 percent to 1,915.05.
