(Yicai Global) May 28 -- China's major mainland stock indexes advanced in the morning, led by farming shares that rose more than 4 percent before lunch.
The Shanghai Composite Index inched up 0.9 percent to 2,918.12 in the morning session, with a turnover of CNY90.5 billion (USD13.2 billion). The Shenzhen Component Index climbed 0.8 percent to 9,054.54, with a trading volume of CNY157.9 billion. The ChiNext Index, which tracks growth enterprises in Shenzhen, added 0.7 percent to finish the morning at 1,502.19, with a turnover of CNY50.3 billion.
