(Yicai Global) May 29 -- China's mainland stock markets recovered some of their lost ground in the morning, but the weakening of blue-chip stocks kept the readings of major equity benchmarks negative before lunch.
The Shanghai Composite Index shed 0.1 percent to 2,906.82 in the morning session, with a turnover of CNY109.6 billion (USD15.9 billion). The Shenzhen Component Index fell 0.2 percent to 9,018.37 on a trading volume of CNY140.3 billion. The ChiNext Index, which tracks growth enterprises in Shenzhen, declined 0.3 percent to finish the morning at 1,500.56, with a turnover of CNY44.9 billion.
