The meeting adopted the Statement of the Seventh Meeting of the BRICS Trade Ministers, and reached a series of important consensuses on promoting trade development, bolstering cooperation to facilitate investment, intensifying economic and technological cooperation, and supporting the multilateral trading system, Zhong said.

BRICS also adopted a basic framework to stimulate investment and approved the framework agreement on economic and technical cooperation. BRICS will work to support the WTO and oppose trade protectionism, he added.
