(Yicai Global) Oct. 22 -- China's mainland stock markets ended the day in the negative territory as bargain-hunting remained weak despite diving growth stocks.
The Star 50 Index, which follows tech stocks on Shanghai’s Nasdaq-style board, closed the day 1.46 percent down at 1,376.58, after tumbling 2.05 percent yesterday. The ChiNext Price Index, which tracks Shenzhen growth enterprises, fell 1 percent to 2,673.59.
The Shanghai Composite Index slid 0.38 percent to 3,312.50. The Shenzhen Component Index stood at 13,396.18, down 0.53 percent.
