(Yicai Global) April 29 -- Stock markets on the Chinese mainland open mixed today as investors mulled the latest economic data following last week's correction.
The Shanghai Composite Index opened up 0.14 percent at 3,090.63 while the Shenzhen Component Index slipped 0.05 percent to 9,775.95. The ChiNext Price Index, which tracks growth enterprises listed in Shenzhen, started up just 0.02 percent at 1,658.19.
China's mainland equity markets have been sliding slowly since early April when each of the indexes hit multi-month highs. They slid to one-month lows last week despite better-than-expected first quarter economic data, as investors remained cautious about short-term growth after double-digit gains over the first three months.
