(Yicai Global) Sept. 30 -- Stock markets on the Chinese mainland were a mixed bag this morning as investors remained hesitant to buy ahead of the week-long National Day holiday.
The Shanghai Composite Index opened 0.14 percent lower at 2,927.92, while the Shenzhen Component Index began 0.05 percent lower at 9,544.02. The ChiNext Price Index, which tracks growth enterprises listed in Shenzhen, started the day 0.08 percent stronger at 1,648.90.
