The  Shanghai Composite Index closed up 0.39 percent at 2,901.67, while the Shenzhen Component Index finished 0.37 percent stronger at 10,768.63. The ChiNext Price Index, which tracks growth enterprises listed in Shenzhen and had recovered most from last week's setback, closed down 0.67 percent at 2,028.44.
