(Yicai Global) May 25 -- Stock markets on the Chinese mainland ended today mixed, as investors held back to see how the ongoing National People's Congress unfolds.

The Shanghai Composite Index closed up 0.15 percent at 2,817.97, while the Shenzhen Component Index ended the day down 0.11 percent at 10,592.84. The ChiNext Price Index, which tracks growth enterprises listed in Shenzhen, finished 0.28 percent stronger at 2,052.30.
