(Yicai Global) Feb. 14 -- Zhejiang Southeast Space Frame Co., a China-based global supplier of steel structures, has penned a CNY380-million (USD60-million) engineering, procurement and construction deal to build an exhibition hall for the United Nations Geographic Information Working Group.
The project will last 180 days and is located in Deqing County, near Zhejiang's provincial capital Hangzhou, Southeast Space Frame said in a statement, adding that the agreement will enhance the firm's image.
The China-U.N. International Forum on Geoinformatics designated Deqing as its permanent venue several years ago, and the first U.N. conference will be held there in November. It will be the highest-level event to date held in China in the surveying and cartography sector.
Geoinformatics uses computers to process, store, extract, manage and analyze geographic data by using emerging technologies, such as satellite navigation, location services and artificial intelligence.
