(Yicai Global) June 23 -- China's mainland stock markets moved up in the morning session after a mixed start. Liquor makers and internet firms were the strongest performers.
The Shanghai Composite Index edged up 0.17 percent to 2,970.30 by noon. The Shenzhen Component Index was at 11,750.49, up 0.41 percent. The ChiNext Price Index, which tracks growth enterprises in Shenzhen, rose 0.78 percent to 2,361.09.
The liquor sector climbed 3 percent. That was a similar increase as Kweichou Moutai [SHA:600519] logged to reach a record high of CNY1,482 (USD209.40), even surpassing ICBC's combined market caps in Hong Kong and Shanghai.
The internet sector surged more than 3 percent, led by game developer Youzu Interactive [SHE:002174] that hit a 10 percent limit-up.
