(Yicai Global) Aug. 20 -- Stock markets on China's mainland reversed yesterday's climbs that were spurred by promised economic stimulus packages to close lower today as more investors chose to sell assets than buy new ones.
The Shanghai Composite Index dropped 0.1 percent to close at 2,880. The Shenzhen Component Index was unchanged at 9,328. The ChiNext Price Index, which tracks growth enterprises listed in Shenzhen, fell 0.7 percent to 1,611.
