(Yicai Global) Dec. 11 -- Stock markets on China's mainland opened the day in an upbear mood after delivering a relatively slack performance during the first four days of the week.
The Shanghai Composite Index was up 0.23 percent at 3,381.01 at the gate, while its Nasdaq-like Star Market Board 50 Index, or Star 50, gained 0.16 percent to 1,362.34.
The Shenzhen Component Index rose 0.26 percent to 13,767.48. The ChiNext Price Index, which tracks growth enterprises listed in Shenzhen, jumped 0.35 percent to 2,727.97.
