(Yicai Global) Nov. 6 -- China's mainland stock markets opened higher this morning but quickly lost the increases as market players cashed out to secure gains from earlier this week.
The Shanghai Composite Index started 0.19 percent up at 3,326.46 but fell 0.26 percent in less than 15 minutes. The Star Market Board 50 Index, or Star 50, began 0.15 percent higher at 1,477.53, after which it slid 0.61 percent.
The Shenzhen Component Index climbed 0.27 percent to 13,932.41 first but then fell 0.23 percent. The ChiNext Price Index, which tracks growth enterprises in Shenzhen, was initially up 0.38 percent at 2,798.55. Shortly, it declined 0.71 percent.
