(Yicai  Global) Aug. 20 -- Stock markets on the Chinese mainland were range-bound this morning as some investors sought to cash in after yesterday's strong gains.

Shanghai Composite Index closed for lunch nearly 0.1 percent higher at 2,885.17. The Shenzhen Component Index was up 0.31 percent at 9,358.32, and the ChiNext Price  Index, which tracks growth enterprises listed in Shenzhen, was down 0.31  percent at 1,617.75.
