(Yicai Global) Jan. 12 -- China's mainland stock markets rebounded into positive territory by midday after commencing lower as investors started seeing deals they couldn't ignore.
The Shanghai Composite Index was up 0.8 percent to 3,559.86 by the lunch break. The Star Market Board 50 Index gained 0.6 percent to 1,399.00.
The Shenzhen Component Index climbed 0.92 percent to 15,253.72. The ChiNext Price Index, which tracks growth enterprises in Shenzhen, jumped 1.14 percent to 3,128.14 after falling as much as 1 percent earlier.
