(Yicai Global) Jan. 12 -- China's mainland stock markets continued to retreat this morning after most of the major equity benchmarks fell back yesterday afternoon, following their multi-year highs.
The Shanghai Composite Index slid 0.38 percent to 3,518.01. The Star Market Board 50 Index declined by 0.09 percent to 1,389.47.
The Shenzhen Component Index was down 0.41 percent at 15,053.87. The ChiNext Price Index, which tracks growth enterprises in Shenzhen, fell 0.42 percent to 3,079.84.
