(Yicai Global) May 18 -- The number of Israel-bound Chinese tourists grew 116 percent in the first four months of the year, making China the fastest-growing source of tourists for the Middle Eastern country, the Times of Israel reported, citing Israel Ministry of Tourism data.
Some 1.09 million foreigners have visited Israel so far this year, up 28 percent year-on-year, the data shows.
"We've seen an exciting increase in the number of tourists," said Bora Shnitman, chief representative at the Israel Ministry of Tourism's China office. "Through hard work, we'll be able to make Israel one of the most popular destinations among Chinese tourists."
