CIIE to Allow Group Visitors Registered Under Real Names, Shanghai Police Say CIIE to Allow Group Visitors Registered Under Real Names, Shanghai Police Say

(Yicai Global) Nov. 2 -- Shanghai authorities recently found advertisements online selling fake admission tickets to the first China International Import Expo. City police are serious about this matter and have carried out investigations per law.

Visitors are admitted to the first CIIE via a real-name registration system. Trade visitors must register on the CIIE official website with their real names and receive a pass from police after approval, and enter the exhibition hall after undergoing security checks, state news The Paper reported.

Group visitors must also use their individual real names and with invitation letters and necessary documents from police. Individual residents are barred from the import expo.

Police will check visitor documents via remote entrance security inspections to ensure 'one person with one pass.' The general public should not fall for so-called tickets to the import expo sold on the internet to avoid needless losses.

The police will investigate and punish fake ticket touts. The guilty will be strictly dealt with once found. Officials will also sanction fraudulent use of others' documents.
