(Yicai Global) Feb. 27 -- Chinese property developer Citic Pacific Properties, which has built a number of landmark buildings in Shanghai including Citic Square and Lujiazui Financial City, has developed another mega project in the metropolis that will open to the public on July 28.

The T Center, which is located in downtown Putuo district close to the Meiling North Road subway station on line 15, boasts five office towers, two of which are particularly tall with heights of 180 meters and 170 meters, a retail center and a hotel, Yicai Global learned at a press conference held on Feb. 24.

The T Center, which was designed by US architecture firm Gensler, is a complex integrating regional innovation, three-dimensional consumption and immersive experiences, said Fei Yiping, chief financial officer of Hong Kong-based Citic Pacific and vice chairman and president of Citic Pacific (China) Investment.

Covering a floor area of 385,000 square meters, the hub will rewrite the rules of urban development while shaping a new scenario for people to attain a work-life balance, Fei added.

The shopping mall aims to create an ecology covering food, sports, beauty, lifestyle, entertainment and leisure. China Sports Lifestyle, ladies fashion brand La Chapelle, Wandao Japanese Restaurant and Yanzhan Climbing Club as just some of the big names lining up to have a presence there.
