(Yicai Global) July 12 -- Zhao Hongshun, now former deputy director of China's State Tobacco Monopoly Bureau, has been expelled from the Communist Party and public office for corruption.

Zhao committed serious violations of the law -- China's formal term for graft, the Central Commission for Discipline Inspection said today. The commission plans to take Zhao to court for his crimes.
