(Yicai Global) Nov. 12 -- The autonomous driving unit of Didi Chuxing, China’s dominant ride-hailing platform operator, has become the first to receive licenses for all three test zones in Shanghai, the Securities Times reported today.
The unit has so far secured road test permits for the Chinese cities of Beijing, Shanghai, Suzhou, and Hefei, as well as for California.
Shanghai recently added 404 kilometers of mileage to its test roads for self-driving vehicles, bringing the coastal city’s total to 530.57 km -- 315 km in Jiading district, 118.2 km in Lingang Special Area, and 97.37 km in Fengxian district.
