(Yicai Global) Nov. 25 – Shanghai Disney Resort is in the Shanghai International Tourism and Resort Zone in Pudong New Area. It opened on June 16, 2016, and is the second Disneyland in China, the first on the Chinese mainland, the third in Asia and the sixth in the world.

In the 10 years since it was developed and built in 2011, the resort has changed from a paddy farmland to the happiest place in the world. The development, construction and operation of the Shanghai International Tourism and Resort Zone, with the Disney project as its core, has brought into play the agglomeration effect of tourism and vacation, and stimulated the development of related industries in Shanghai. The spillover, radiation and driving effect is not limited to Shanghai. It is a product of reform and opening up and an important symbol of Pudong’s development and opening up, reflecting the innovative idea of combining “Disney’s global standards” with “best local practices”.
