(Yicai Global) May 20 -- Ctrip-backed Chinese online travel agency run by  Tongcheng-Elong Holdings has partnered with tourism social networking service site Mafengwo. 

The two will unite forces to provide one-stop travel services for users, Suzhou, Jiangsu province-based Tongcheng-Elong said in a statement today, Tencent news reported.

User-generated travel guides -- information on destinations, hotels, scenic spots – show on the order page after users buy plane tickets or book hotels through Tongcheng-Elong. These guides thus usher users to Mafengwo's site when clicked. 

The two will work together to offer more content and will provide graphic and short video content about 81 vacation spots and offer personalized content for users with different destinations and serve tourists throughout the whole process of order-sharing, an executive at Tongcheng-Elong said.

LY.com and Elong.com merged into Tongcheng-Elong in 2017. The fused platform took third place in market share that same year, data from Beijing-based market research firm iResearch show.

Founded in 2006, Mafengwo is operated by Beijing Mafengwo Network Technology. The site offers a youth-oriented travel experience and a guide-sharing social networking service. It covers information on hotels, transport, attractions, catering and shopping in 60,000 vacation spots, it said on its official site.
