(Yicai) Jan. 23 -- Efort Intelligent Equipment, a Chinese industrial robots supplier, said its Polish unit had received a EUR22.4 million (USD24.5 million) order for automated production equipment for a UK plant of German auto giant BMW.
The order placed with Autorobot-Strefa is equal to 13 percent of Efort's revenue in 2022, its Shanghai-based parent company said yesterday.
The subsidiary will supply equipment and services for remodeling the welding production line of front and rear doors, fenders, and tail covers for three models produced at BMW's Swindon factory, it added.
BMW has already paid about 80 percent of the contract, with the project set to run from this year to 2027, Efort noted.
Shares of Efort [SHA: 688165] ended little changed in Shanghai today, gaining 0.1 percent to CNY8.76 (USD1.23) each.
