(Yicai Global) Feb. 29 -- Eight more patients in Shanghai have fully recovered after contracting Covid-19 and left a local hospital today. No new confirmed cases were reported yesterday, according to the city's health commission.

A total of 287 patients in the city have now recovered from the disease, about 85 percent of the 337 confirmed cases, the commission said.

Six of the discharged patients, five men and a woman aged between 24 and 75, had been in close contact with an infected person. Among the rest, a 78-year-old man had lived in Hubei province and a 67-year-old woman had visited an unnamed region, according to the commission.

As of yesterday, three patients have died, 10 are in critical condition and 37 are in stable condition, the commission said.

Shanghai has cleared 2,366 suspected cases by yesterday while 57 are still being tested.
