(Yicai Global) March 1 --  Shanghai reported no new cases of the novel coronavirus Covid-19 yesterday, marking three days on the trot in which the eastern metropolis' case total stood at 337.

Among the total, three had died, nine remain in a critical state, 287 are fully recovered and have been discharged from hospital, and 38 are in stable condition., the Shanghai Health Commission said this morning. 

The patients are aged between seven months and 88 years of age and include 175 men and 162 women.

Some 145 have lived in or visited Hubei province, the epicenter of the coronavirus outbreak, 158 have had close contact with other patients, and 34 have lived in or visited other provinces or regions, said.

The city has cleared 2,401 suspected cases and another 32 are undergoing further tests.
