(Yicai Global) March 4 -- Shanghai reported no new cases of the novel coronavirus Covid-19 yesterday, with the eastern megacity's total holding static at 338, the city's health commission announced this morning.

Among the patients, three have died, nine are in critical condition, 294 have fully recovered and left hospital, and 32 are stable. The sufferers, aged between seven months and 88 years, include 176 men and 162 women.

Some 145 have stayed in or visited Hubei province, the epicenter of the coronavirus outbreak, while 158 have had close contact with infected persons, 34 traveled to or from other provinces or regions, the commission noted. One case is still under epidemiological investigation, it added.

As of yesterday, the city had cleared 2,445 suspected cases and another 26 are undergoing further tests.
