(Yicai Global) Feb. 15 -- Shanghai has confirmed another eight new cases of the novel coronavirus pneumonia as of yesterday, bringing the total to 326, the Shanghai Health Commission announced this morning.

Among the total, one has died, 17 remain in a critical state, 90 are fully recovered and have been discharged from hospital, and 218 are in stable condition.

The patients are aged between seven months and 88 years of age and include 168 men and 158 women.

Some 144 have lived in or visited Hubei province, the epicenter of the coronavirus outbreak, 149 have had close contact with other patients, and 33 have lived in or visited other provinces or regions, said.

As of yesterday, 1,586 suspected cases have been cleared and 143 suspected cases are still undergoing further tests.
