(Yicai Global) Feb. 17 -- Shanghai confirmed another three new cases of the novel coronavirus pneumonia yesterday, bringing the total to 331, the Shanghai Health Commission announced this morning.

Among the total, one has died, 18 remain in a critical state, 140 are fully recovered and have been discharged from hospital, and 172 are in stable condition.

The patients are aged between seven months and 88 years of age and include 172 men and 159 women.

Some 144 have lived in or visited Hubei province, the epicenter of the coronavirus outbreak, 154 have had close contact with other patients, and 33 have lived in or visited other provinces or regions, said.

As of yesterday, 1,749 suspected cases have been cleared and 117 suspected cases are still undergoing further tests.
