Electric Car-Sharer Mango to Share Nets Tens of Millions in Pre-A Round Electric Car-Sharer Mango to Share Nets Tens of Millions in Pre-A Round

(Yicai Global) Feb. 23 -- Mango to Share, a new energy vehicle (NEV) electric car-sharing brand, recently announced the completion of its pre-A round financing, raising tens of millions of yuan to swiftly swell its fleet of new vehicles, expand city coverage, facilitate site construction, technological upgrade of the platform, Big Data research and development and operations, internet media 36kr.com reported.

This round of investment was sourced from Wenxin Group. Mango to Share previously received investment at a million-dollar level from Baojia.com and a well-known angel investor.

A mobile internet technology platform built by Shenzhen Mango Automobile Technology Co., it provides NEV-information services. Mango to Share began trial operation in Shenzhen in South China's Guangdong province in April. Its unattended operating model lets users access its vehicles via its app after verifying their driver's licenses and identity cards and paying a CNY499 (USD79) fee.

Mango to Share will also provide 10,000 shared Battery Electric Vehicles (BEV) in the cities and provinces of Beijing, Hangzhou, Sichuan, Hubei and Shandong this year and cooperate with New Zealand car-sharing brand MEVO to break into major cities there and in Australia.

Firm founder Dr. Lai Xin believes the NEV-sharing industry is still in its infancy and therefore faces the test of the market, policies and operations. Since its inception, Mango to Share has collaborated with charging pile operators, arranging parking  and charging in advance of or synchronously with vehicle debuts to enhance the user experience, improve vehicle turnover efficiency, and save operating costs.
