As the largest container port in the United States, the Port of Los Angeles serves as a critical hub connecting Asian and US markets. Together with the Port of Long Beach, the America’s second-largest container port, the two ports handle 40% of the nation’s total container volume. Notably, 45% of the Port of Los Angeles’ business is directly tied to China. In January 2022, the Port of Shanghai and the Port of Los Angeles jointly proposed the establishment of a “Green Shipping Corridor.” Now, what green and low-carbon emission-reduction technologies have been implemented along this corridor? What unique approaches has the Port of Los Angeles adopted for emission reduction? And how is its digital intelligence transformation progressing? In this episode of the North Bund Forum High-end Interviews, we are honored to host Mr. Eugene Seroka, Executive Director of the Port of Los Angeles. Click the video to hear his insights on the port’s journey toward green, low-carbon and digital transformation.
