(Yicai Global) April 3 - Movie shares surged this afternoon after the China Film Administration said the government was considering introducing specific funds for films and other fiscal and tax preferential policies to lessen the Covid-19's impact upon the entertainment sector.
As of market closing, Shangai Film [SHA: 601595] had risen 5.34 percent to CNY12.44 (USD 1.76), Beijing-based China Film [SHA:600977] had increased by 2.2 percent to CNY12.09 and Zhejiang-based Hengdian Entertainment [SHA: 603103] had climbed 3.65 percent to CNY14.19.
