(Yicai) Sept. 11 -- The 16th FutureChina Global Forum will bring together over 600 global leaders from more than 20 countries to discuss geopolitics, trade, innovation, and Singapore-China relations.
Panel discussions will explore how global geopolitical shifts are reshaping Southeast Asia and how businesses can adapt. The forum will also look at economic ties between China and the Association of Southeast Asian Nations, China’s evolving policies, and the transformative impact of artificial intelligence.
Themed “The World in Flux: Challenges and Opportunities,” the forum will feature a keynote speech by Singapore’s Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Trade and Industry Gan Kim Yong.
Other speakers include Foreign Affairs Minister Vivian Balakrishnan, Bridgewater Associates’ founder Ray Dalio and Avanda Investment Management’s Ng Kok Song. The forum will convene on Sept. 19 at Singapore’s Sands Expo & Convention Centre.
Running concurrently, the 6th Business China Youth Forum will focus on the role of young leaders in today’s world, with discussions on topics such as AI, humanoid robots and digital entrepreneurship.
Minister of State Goh Pei Ming will also oversee the signing of memoranda of understanding with Singapore’s five polytechnics to foster collaboration through internships and programs, and the forum will conclude with the 12th Business China Awards, co-presented with leading Singaporean bank OCBC, honoring contributions to Singapore-China relations.
“The uncertainties and tensions we face today are borderless and complex, and no one has all the answers,” said Kwek Poh Heok, CEO of Business China. “In a world in flux, where challenges and opportunities emerge side by side, it is especially important to bring together business leaders, experts, decision makers, and even youths, whose perspectives and energy are vital to navigating change and shaping the future together.”
