(Yicai) Dec. 27 -- A Generation Z New Year Gathering was held today at Shanghai’s Kunlun Jing’an Hotel to unveil the winners of the short video competition GenZ With Shanghai Stories, which portrays Shanghai through the eyes of foreign students.

“Love Shanghai Love Coffee” by Aleksandra Antonenko from Shanghai Jiaotong University bagged first prize, while six short videos were tied in second and 10 secured third place.

“I think the best part is how the city responds to us and how we enjoy it,” said coffee lover Antonenko, adding that she would like to create more stories to show the beauty of China and Shanghai.

The competition received more than 150 works from individuals and groups from 20 countries and regions. Through their unique perspectives and lenses, they showcased Shanghai's modernity, prosperity, antiquity and fashionability. Their efforts strengthen cross-cultural communication and exchanges between young people at home and abroad, and enhance the international influence of Chinese culture.
