(Yicai Global) Oct.16 -- Chinese mine explosion specialist Hongda Blasting has tested its first supersonic cruise missile in the north of the country.
The test successfully verified the launch, acceleration, power system and flight control capabilities of the HD-1 system, the Guangdong-based firm said in a statement.
The project is still at the experimental stage with more tests on technology and adaptability, stability and reliability still to come.
Hongda unit Minghua Machinery was responsible for the implementation of the missile project for export, which is made up of a launch, command and control and target indication systems, with a total investment of about CNY1.3 billion (USD189.8 million) expected, the company said in August.
