(Yicai Global) Sept. 29 -- As of yesterday, box office receipts for IMAX China Holding Inc. [HK:1970] in September had exceeded USD22 million (CNY1.45 billion) to set a new record for its ticket sales in China in the ninth month.

One after the other in the past month several blockbusters that landed on the silver screen of -- Dunkirk, Spiderman, Return of the Heroes, War for the Planet of the Apes -- have all set new box office records.

Of the recent top-performing 20 films, 15 have shown in IMAX theaters, a circumstance that fully demonstrates the release of the latent box-office force of IMAX's technology, brand and high-grade content.
