(Yicai Global) Feb. 9 -- Merchandise of the Beijing Olympic Winter Games mascot is selling like hot cakes as consumers seek to take home a bit of the Olympics. As a result, factories are working at full capacity to meet demand.

The fearless little panda called Bing Dwen Dwen wears a ‘shell’ of ice and can be seen speeding along beside the athletes in online promotional materials. It symbolizes the strength and willpower of the sportsmen and women.

Olympic merchandise will be on the shelves until the end of June, Guo Lei, head of the franchising management office of the Beijing Organizing Committee, said yesterday.

A huge pile of Bing Dwen Dwens lie on a table waiting to be packaged by factory workers.

Bing Dwen Dwens move along the production line at the Jinjiang Hengsheng Toy factory in southeastern Fujian province.

Bing Dwen Dwens are packed in cases ready to be shipped.
