(Yicai Global) Feb. 8 -- Chinese skater Ren Ziwei seized his second gold medal at the ongoing Beijing Olympic Winter Games, and also the second for his country, after winning the men’s 1,000-meter short track speed skating final yesterday.

24-year-old Ren stormed to victory in one minute and 26.768 seconds, closely followed by compatriot Li Wenlong and Hungarian Liu Shaoang who took bronze.

On Feb. 5, he had helped China win its first gold in the mixed team short track speed skating relay.

Ren holds up the Chinese flag during his victory lap.

Ren shouts in triumph after winning.

Ren and Hungary's Liu Shaolin Sandor are neck to neck in the nail-biting race.

Ren sprinted to the finish line in the game.
