(Yicai Global) April 1 -- The Jack Ma Foundation, which has donated one billion items of supplies -- including face masks, test kits and ventilators -- to over 140 countries and regions to combat the Covid-19 pandemic, has disputed rumors some countries have griped about the quality of these gifts or even rejected them outright.

"We do this not to win praise or recognition, and we are not afraid of criticism," said the charitable group named for the founder of e-commerce giant Alibaba Holdings in a statement that appeared today on its account on China's Twitter-like Weibo social media platform.
