(Yicai Global) Nov. 5 -- Chinese e-commerce giant JD.Com will buy a large amount of foreign goods from foreign brands, such as Italian coffee machine maker De'Longhi, Japanese rice cooker firm Tiger, and US hardware behemoth Dell, during the ongoing trade fair in Shanghai to satisfy the demand of domestic consumers.

JD.Com will purchase goods worth CNY100 billion (USD14.7 billion) in total at the China International Import Expo, state-backed The Paper reported the Beijing-based firm, as saying at a forum during the CIIE. Some of the suppliers also include kitchen product maker Miji Design Germany, and Kawasaki-headquartered audio devices firm Marantz.

JD.Com will seek for cooperation and fulfill the company's responsibility as the first choice for imported brands to enter the Chinese market, said Lan Ye, the executive vice president.

JD.Com has a sound global logistics system, and its platform's users have strong purchasing power, Lan added.
