Kuaishou Restores Links to JD, Taobao Ahead of Double 11 Shopping Festival(Yicai Global) Oct. 31 -- Livestreaming platform Kuaishou has restored links to goods and services on e-commerce platforms Taobao and JD.Com, as promotions begin for the upcoming Double 11 shopping festival.
Taobao Alliance said the links to its member merchants would be restored by today and JD.Com Alliance said they would be completed on Oct. 29. The two e-commerce platforms started pre-sales for Double 11 on Oct. 24, offering big discounts amid fierce competition.
Beijing-based Kuaishou first opened the links to Taobao and JD during the 618 retail event in 2019, but it removed them in March because of “changes in its partnership with third-party e-commerce platforms,” it said.
Kuaishou, a rival of TikTok’s Chinese sister app Douyin, suffered a slump in shares in August after it announced slower revenue growth in the second quarter.
