(Yicai Global) Aug.30 -- The earnings report Leshi Internet Information and Technology Corp. Beijing [SHE:300104] outed Aug. 28 shows Leshi repaid its founder Jia Yueting and his sister Jia Yuefang all funds they lent the company even though Leshi is now strapped for cash, ThePaper.com reported. 

In the first half, Leshi repaid Jia Yueting and his sister Jia Yuefang the USD390,000 (CNY2.6 million) and USD64.5 million (CNY430 million) loans they respectively lent the company.

Jia and his sister have thus now recouped all the money they lent to Leshi, per the report.

Jia Yueting outed a plan in May 2015 to reduce his holdings in Leshi and loan the proceeds to the company for use in its day-to-day operations, with a loan period of at least five years. The commitment was made Oct. 30, 2015. Jia Yuefang also gave two commitments -- on Dec. 11, 2014 and Feb. 2, 2015 -- to lend CNY178 million and CNY1.5 billion to the company for a period of at least 60 months interest free and to go to supplement the firm's working capital, the report said citing information posted on Leshi's website.  

Leshi earlier repaid Jia Yueting and Jia Yuefang CNY2.068 billion and CNY968 million they lent to the company, the company's 2016 annual report states. Leshi has thus repaid all the balance of the funds the Jias lent to the company before its obligation to do so fell due, the report said.

Jia Yueting also previously promised to lend all proceeds from his divestiture of shares to Leshi, agreeing that after the latter repaid the loan, he would use the funds to up his holding again within six months from receipt of the repayment, but the report contained no references to this transaction.
