(Yicai Global) Oct. 15 -- LinkedIn China will close its user content publishing and interactive networking function and instead shift the emphasis to recruitment, the US career-oriented service platform for business professionals told Yicai Global.
LinkedIn China will turn to helping users find career opportunities and assisting employers to hire their ideal candidates in a bid to better serve Chinese users, the Microsoft unit said yesterday.
In March, the Silicon Valley-based app temporarily suspended the registration of new members in China, reportedly to fall in line with tighter supervision of the internet-based sector in the country.
LinkedIn, which has more than 740 million members, has been operating in China since 2014. Its main sources of revenue are premium account subscriptions, ad sales and different types of talent recruitment solutions.
