L'Oréal, China Trade Promotion Council Launch Beauty Industry Initiative at Supply Chain Expo(Yicai) June 24 -- French cosmetics giant L'Oréal has teamed up with the Academy of China Council for the Promotion of International Trade on a new research initiative exploring the various benefits of the beauty industry at the fourth China International Supply Chain Expo.
L'Oréal and CCPIT Academy will jointly explore the multi-dimensional comprehensive value and spillover effects of the beauty industry in boosting consumption, driving innovation, building supply chain ecosystems, and advancing social and sustainable development, the company announced yesterday.
The CISCE, held from June 22 through 26 in Beijing, showcases global supply chain cooperation and innovative industrial development achievements.

“In an era where artificial intelligence intersects with human creativity, AI has become a vital force empowering consumers, L'Oréal, its employees, and social development,” said Vincent Boinay, president for North Asia and chief executive for China at L'Oréal.
L'Oréal aims to collaborate with more Chinese innovation partners to continuously enhance its innovation capabilities and supply chain operational efficiency, jointly driving the high-quality development of the beauty industry, Vincent stressed.
The full-scale implementation of AI across L'Oréal's Suzhou factory, newly launched Smart Packaging Creative House, and Smart Fulfillment Center has helped the company build a more agile, secure, and green end-to-end smart supply chain, noted Marc-Antoine Poulle, senior vice president of operations at L'Oréal North Asia and China.
The new research initiative has greatly boosted L'Oréal's operational and innovative momentum in China, showing its firm confidence in the country's innovation ecosystem and the high-quality development of local supply chains, Poulle pointed out.
L'Oréal unveiled its first Smart Packaging Creative House in China at the expo. Integrating an AI system featuring massive packaging models from the local packaging ecosystem, a comprehensive color, material, and finish library, three-dimensional full-color printing technology, and the company's stock library, the center shortens the traditional packaging design cycle from weeks to mere days.
