(Yicai Global) March 8 -- Barbie manufacturer Mattel has released three limited-edition dolls based on exceptional Chinese female figures to mark International Women's Day which falls on March 8. The toys are modeled on actress Traey Miley, Olympic gold medal-winning volleyball player Hui Ruoqi and renowned ballerina Tan Yuanyuan.

Traey Miley, real name Guan Xiaotong, was born in Beijing on Sept. 17, 1997 and studied at Beijing Film Academy. She won the Best Supporting Actress award at the Shanghai TV Festival in 2017.

Former national volleyball captain Hui Ruoqi was born in Dalian, Liaoning province, on March 4, 1991. She was named the Most Influential Sports Personality in the Internet Age at the Global Mobile Internet Conference 2017.

Tan Yuanyuan, born in Shanghai on Feb. 14, 1977, was the first Chinese dancer to become prima ballerina with the San Francisco Ballet. She was featured on the cover of Time magazine in 2004.
