Nanjing to Sort Out Bike-Sharing Firms Dingding, CoolqiThe city government will clear up all the improperly parked, unmanaged Dingding and Coolqi bicycles on the city's streets starting Sept. 28, since neither the heads or service maintenance staff of the two firms could be reached to resolve the parking problem, it said.
Dingding had struggled to repay deposits to users punctually and many employees, including its co-founders, had left the company, it was earlier reported and Dingding's office building is now vacant, per latest reports.
Coolqi reportedly experienced similar problems last month. Coolqi has decided to fire its chief executive as deposit withdrawals continue, the firm said in an open letter yesterday. Its customer service hotline is no longer in operation and its Beijing head office has fallen empty, Chinese Business View recently reported.
