Narada Power Source Puts China's First Modular Storage Power Station Into Operation Narada Power Source Puts China's First Modular Storage Power Station Into Operation

(Yicai Global) Oct. 25 -- China's first modular battery storage power station, developed by Zhejiang Narada Power Source Co. [SHE:300068] is operational.

The 250-kilowatt/1-megawatt-hour plant is based in a factory belonging to Four Seas Suzhou Food Co., and covers an area of 45 square meters. The station is connected to the beverage maker's 400-volt busbar and has a life expectancy of 10 years.

In order to standardize construction of storage power plants and reduce the time needed to build them, Narada designed a modular system to fill in the blanks at a technical level both at home and abroad. The pre-installed model is a new type of station based on prefabricated foundations and using standardized containers.

The modular stations are quicker to build, cheaper and consume less space, the firm said. They also make controlling construction quality easier and are more reliable, it added.
