(Yicai Global) July 29 -- Ne Zha, the first Chinese animated film ever released in IMAX theaters, generated an estimated CNY54 million during its opening weekend in China, becoming the best opening weekend of all animated films released in China. 

Ne Zha also claimed the best three-day opening weekend for all IMAX movies released in China in July, IMAX China Holding released today. 

Enlight Coloroom Picture, one of the producers, is planning to roll out other movies related to Chinese myths, including Ziya this year and Phoenix next year.
