(Yicai Global) Sept. 24 -- V-Link, the online community service platform of China Vanke Co. [SHE:000002], introduced its first member carnival, China's first consumer carnival that was not run by an e-commerce business platform.

It announced its first member Carnival Day to mark the 33rd anniversary of the founding of Vanke, one of the country's largest property developers. It rolled out a variety of preferential housing rental and free trial services, and cooperated with JD.com Inc. [NASDAQ:JD], Suning Commerce Group Co [SHE:002024] and other partners to put out massively discounted goods and services, state-owned Xinhua news agency reported.

V-Link hit the market in May 2017. It brought its services to ten cities including Beijing, Tianjin and Qingdao. Some 100,000 members and 1,500 merchants have registered online with the platform.

V-Link is developing offline businesses to provide residents with canteens, gyms, coffee shops, shopping centers and other facilities. It has opened 93 offline service outlets in various cities and plans to open 33 this year.

The platform aims to build customer value-added services, rather than just e-commerce ones. Its goal is to offer customers high-level services. It is currently open only to Vanke clients and leasing customers, an insider said.
